For the 30 years of the Period of Japanese Rule, Songshan Sanatorium had 7 superintendents, some of whom had served for 9 years and some had only 1 year. However, no records could prove the length of their services. In 1945 (the 34th year of the Republic of China), the Government reorganized the institution and renamed it the Taiwan Provincial Songshan Sanatorium.
